La película The Lost City o La Ciudad Perdida de Andy García, el actor estadounidense nacido en Cuba, inspirada en textos del escritor Guillermo Cabrera Infante, fue prohibida en varios países de América del Sur. Entre ellos Venezuela, por presentar una imagen anti-castrista y por mostrar de forma poco favorable al Che Guevara. Andy García debuta como realizador de este film, un retrato de La Habana desde los ’50′ hasta los primeros años de la Revolución.
En una interesante entrevista “The Lost City” Rompe el Silencio, dice que “Hay mucha gente que defiende la imagen del Che por razones comerciales. Esa industria es un negocio millonario”.

The movie The Lost City, is not just a movie. It is the history of what millions of Cubans suffered. While the International controlled media kept silence. The only country which had stood up to Castros’ tyranny was El Salvador, with his presidente, Francisco Flores. He told Castro to his face that he was a criminal. While other chief of states were passing messages of not to upset Castro to avoid problems. Many country of South America and other places have prohibited the movie. And they call themselves free. Neither they are free nor they have testosterone.
During the persecusion od the jews, many turned their faces away. Those like the one now are cowards and contributors to the suffering of Cubans. Hurray Andy Garcia.
