Sept. 12, 1953: Wearing her grandmother’s rose-point lace veil, 24-year-old Jacqueline Lee Bouvier is the picture of perfection on the day of her wedding to Sen. John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The day surely must have had its stresses for young Jackie — her father had gotten drunk in his hotel room and missed the ceremony entirely, and at the reception she faced a receiving line of 1,200 high-profile guests — but as she stands with her new husband at the Hammersmith Farm in Newport, R.I., dressed in an ivory silk taffeta gown, delicate gloves, and a single, elegant strand of pearls, she displays the grace under duress that would serve her well in later years.

Guapa esa mujer no era, pero clase tenía mucha. Y lista más que el hambre.
Menuda fortuna debió pescar con la “boda” esa griega.
Y el disgustó que se llevó Maria Callas:)

Parece ser que fue otro de esos matrimonios en que uno de ellos amó con pasion al otro, pero no hubo mucha respuesta de parte del marido, quien fue un mujeriego que todos sabemos, pero que en esa epoca la prensa fue mas discreta en exponerlo.
La historia de la princesa Diana, trasladada a USA.
Asuntos de estado y ambiciones. El escoger una buena consorte, que brillara, pero para la cual no hubo mucha estima real de matrimonio. Me equivoco?

Como dice la frase: “Detrás de todo gran hombre hay una gran mujer” y ella lo fue. Lástima de no haber podido disfrutar plenamente por culpa del asesinato de más tiempo con su marido.
